the lights dip and come back up on start up, My Missus just asked me if i had "checked the fuse" so i think i'll go and do that now, Does anyone have the fuse location and number to hand? any other things to check?

If your map light, stereo, turn signals, heated seats, headlights or other electronic components suddenly stop working, chances are you have a fuse that has blown out.
There is a couple of ways to determine if a BMW has adaptive headlights. One method is to park the vehicle but keep it running. You can look at the low beam move and right as a friend turns the steering left and right. If the low beam projector moves, your BMW has adaptive headlights. If it doesn't, your BMW does not need adaptive headlights.
The auto transmission requires no servicing at all. There were a couple of little things we had to fix up but I am fastidious with our cars. Feb 14, 2010 · Headlights Not Working - posted in Problems, Questions and Technical: Mini Cooper 1995 I put a post on a few weeks ago about the headlights not working on my mini, since then i'm still having the same problem, All the lights work expect for the headlights and the rear lights on the same switch so the indicators work the brake lights work and hazards but i can't get the main lights to work.
The body style is E46. The right tail light is not working properly. It is blinking too fast and does not seem to have enough illumination. It recently stopped working at all. I told him not to drive it until we had it repaired, so of course he has been quite anxious to get back to driving his car—he loves his BMW.
